ABOUT: Cole van dais (pronounced Colay van day) is an independent South African artist who performs as a solo, duo or as a band. She sings English and Afrikaans, either her original music, or chart cover oldies to current hits ranging from pop, rock, pop/rock, dance to jazz and contemporary music. For themed parties, Cole can tailor-make a show to suit your event or she can perform one of her fully outfitted tribute shows with dancers or musicians. Her tribute shows include: The James Bond Golden hits tribute, Madonna & 80s show and ABBA. Cole has been performing for the past 15 years at many shows around SA, Namibia, UK, Europe, Seychelles and the Mediterranean islands and has shared the stage with popular artists such as Village People, WWF wrestlers, Malaika, Mango Groove, Steve Hofmeyer and many more.
CAREER HIGHLIGHT: In 2011, Cole performed at the 35th Anniversary for the independence of Seychelles. As an active Human rights and peace activist, Cole had the honour of performing at the Chris Hani tribute concert. She has performed at 100’s of festivals in South Africa such at The Rand Easter show, Klein karoo kunstefees & Aardklop, and touring festivals in Namibia (Windhoek, Gobabis, Grootfontein, Swakopmund), as well as international events such as The Ukkasie festival , Earlscourt festival (performed 3 years in a row and was the main presenter/mc), Pizza on the Park (Hyde Park, London), Nottinghill carnival (the biggest street carnival in Europe), Edinburgh Festival (UK), and toured islands such as Cyprus, Spain and the Isle of Skye. She sings either solo or with her band, Ruby Tuesday, with whom she won The Battle of the cover bands 2012. A versatile actress, Cole starred as Rizzo in the musical ‘Grease’ for a Scotland tour, and on TV as the Prince’s girlfriend in ‘Prince Harry laid bare’. Cole is not only a singer and actress but an accomplished TV presenter. Her TV show, ‘Mind, body, spirit’, broadcasted from London’s SKY TV, had over 1 million viewers in 2005. In 2012 she presented a show for OGAE Rest of the World called The Eurovision 2nd chance competition 2012 broadcasted in 26 participating countries.
